Aullwood has now reopened to the public via our the farm entrance at 9101 Frederick Pike! The Marie S. Aull Education Center and its parking lot at 1000 Aullwood Road remain closed; however, all trails are accessible from the farm.
All of our native animals as well as our signature Nature Store and Gift Shop have relocated to the farm for your enjoyment. Come see the animals’ new habitats and enjoy the expanded selection of products in our store including grass fed beef and all natural eggs for sale. We will be adding sustainably-raised pork, local dairy products and more in the coming months. Purchases may be made with credit card, check or cash.
We have also added almost two miles of new trails for you to explore. Bluebirds, Indigo buntings, red-winged black birds, and flocks of Goldfinches can be seen along these new trails. We have even spotted Wild turkey and Northern bobwhite! See our updated trail map for details.
General admission is $10/adult and $7/child. Members of Friends of Aullwood and National Audubon Society are admitted free. Access to Aullwood and any Aullwood programs is only at 9101 Frederick Pike. Our winter hours are 9 AM to 5 PM Wednesday through Saturday and 1 PM to 5 PM Sunday. We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays as well as most school holidays. Please call 937-890-7360 for more information.
=== IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND GUIDELINES ===
Aullwood is following the recommendations from government officials, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Audubon Society. Guidelines are subject to change should new mandates come out. The safety of our members, guests, volunteers and staff is our top priority.
- If you or someone in your household is sick, stay home. Do not visit Aullwood if you have a fever, persistent cough or shortness of breath.
- We will follow social distancing rules and ask that family groups keep at least a 6-foot distance from other people.
- Masks are required when inside any building. In the event that you are in a smaller space outside, masks will also be required.
- Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before and after your visit.
We have made key changes to our facilities and operations in consultation with the Ohio Department of Health, the Governor’s Office, the Ohio Museums Association (OMA), the Association of Nature Centers Administrators (ANCA) and the National Audubon Society. These changes include limiting the number of people inside Farm Discovery Center to fifty (50), renovating bathrooms to be as touch-free as possible and daily deep cleaning of our facility and frequent cleaning of high-touch areas. Visitors are required to wear masks when inside the Farm Discovery Center with the exception of children 2 and under and those with medical issues. Single use masks will be available free for members. We have established one-way traffic patterns throughout our facilities. Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the site. All nature sanctuary trails will be accessed from the farm.
The Marie S. Aull Education Center at 1000 Aullwood Road, and its parking lot and restrooms, will remain closed to the public at this time with no trail access there; trail connections to Englewood MetroPark and Aullwood Garden will also be closed until further notice. A fundraising campaign will begin soon to raise the funds required to renovate the Marie S. Aull Education Center which is a much older building in order to bring its safety features and exhibits up to appropriate standards.
