February 27, 2021 - Dayton, OH

Enjoy these self-guided family activities at any point during your visit to Aullwood! Stop in at our front desk for more details about our current activities or call 937-890-7360 for more information.

Whooooo Loves Owls?
Enjoy this family-friendly self-guided activity all about owls! February is nesting time for these fascinating raptors. Can you name the eight common owls of Ohio? Find a quiz sheet at the Farm Desk and match the facts with the pictures. You will learn “owl” about them!

Aullwood Trail Adventures
We have added almost two miles of new trails for you to explore. Pick up our updated trail map at the farm or visit https://aullwood.audubon.org/trailmap and get ready for adventure! All nature sanctuary trails are accessible from Aullwood Farm.

Aullwood Animal Adventures
The Farm Discovery Center is filled with our native animal exhibits from the Marie S. Aull Education Center. Go nose-to nose (through the glass) with a snapping turtle or black rat snake, then visit all the barns and meet our delightful farm animals!

Please read the “Important Information and Guidelines for Walks and Programs” below. Aullwood has now reopened to the public! On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aullwood is open via the entrance at Aullwood Farm at 9101 Frederick Pike. We are open 9 AM to 5 PM Friday and Saturday and 1 PM to 5 PM Sunday. All of Aullwood's trails are accessible from the farm. Aullwood's Nature Center remains closed to all at this time. On Monday through Thursday ONLY from 9 AM to 5 PM, when Aullwood Farm is closed, Aullwood's Nature Center parking lot at 1000 Aullwood Road is open to the public for free admission to Aullwood's nature center trails. (Please note that vehicles left in the lot after 5 PM will be locked in.) No public restrooms will be available anywhere onsite Monday through Thursday, and Aullwood Farm and the farm trails will be closed Monday through Thursday. General Aullwood admission is $10/adult and $7/child. Members of Friends of Aullwood and National Audubon Society are admitted free. You can become an Aullwood member today! See https://aullwood.audubon.org/membership for more information, visit Aullwood Farm during regular hours or call 937-890-7360.

=== IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND GUIDELINES ===
Aullwood is following the recommendations from government officials, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Audubon Society. Guidelines are subject to change should new mandates come out. The safety of our members, guests, volunteers and staff is our top priority.

 - If you or someone in your household is sick, stay home. Do not visit Aullwood if you have a fever, persistent cough or shortness of breath.
 - We will follow social distancing rules and ask that family groups keep at least a 6-foot distance from other people.
 - Masks are required when inside any building. In the event that you are in a smaller space outside, masks will also be required.
 - Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before and after your visit.

We have made key changes to our facilities and operations in consultation with the Ohio Department of Health, the Governor’s Office, the Ohio Museums Association (OMA), the Association of Nature Centers Administrators (ANCA) and the National Audubon Society. These changes include limiting the number of people inside Farm Discovery Center to fifty (50), renovating bathrooms to be as touch-free as possible and deep cleaning of our facility and frequent cleaning of high-touch areas. Visitors are required to wear masks when inside the Farm Discovery Center with the exception of children 2 and under and those with medical issues. Single use masks will be available free for members. We have established one-way traffic patterns throughout our facilities. Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the site.

The Marie S. Aull Education Center at 1000 Aullwood Road and its restrooms remain closed to all at this time. We are raising funds to renovate this building and bring its safety features and exhibits up to appropriate standards in order to reopen in 2021.
