They may be tiny, but as a key indicator of water quality, macroinvertebrates are mighty! They can reveal a lot about the health of a freshwater stream. Macroinvertebrates are an important part of the stream food web. So, put on your water shoes, grab a net and join us as we get knee deep in Aullwood’s Wiles Creek looking for those Mighty Macros!

Preregistration is not required for this event. We will meet in the lobby at Aullwood Nature Center (1000 Aullwood Road, Dayton OH 45414) and walk to the creek together. Wear water shoes. Dogs are not permitted at this event. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The number of attendees for this event is limited and spots will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. This event is free for members of Friends of Aullwood, National Audubon Society, and ANCA affiliated organizations with membership card or receipt.
