PLEIN AIR PAINTING: Children’s Program for 14–17 Year Olds

July 14, 2020 - Dayton, OH

Journey into the art of plein air painting (that’s French for “Hey, let’s paint outside”). Create a masterpiece of your own in the great outdoors using acrylic paint, graphite and color pencil as your media. The cost of this program is $95 per child to cover the extra supplies which will be provided. Please read the "Children's Programs" and “Important Information and Guidelines for Walks and Programs” sections below.

You must be a member of Friends of Aullwood or National Audubon Society to attend July walks or programs. Please note that Aullwood walks and programs are weather dependent and are cancelled if there is thunder, lightning or heavy rain. All Aullwood programs begin and end at 9101 Frederick Pike, Dayton, OH 45414. Call 937-890-7360 for more information and to register for programs.

=== CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS ===
You must preregister for programs by calling 937-890-7360. There is a limit of 8 children (members) in a program. Programs will take place outside in the open air Farm Pavilion or outside around the Farm grounds and trails. Children will be spaced at least 6 feet apart and will not share supplies or equipment. Two Aullwood Educators will teach each program. Should there be thunder, lightning or heavy rain the program will be cancelled and refunded. Please read through the “Important Information and Guidelines for Walks and Programs” instructions below.

The same program is offered twice a day – one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Please register a child to take the morning or afternoon program, not both. On the day of the program, there will be a curbside drop off and pick up in front of the Farm Discovery Center. We ask that adults drop children off without getting out of the vehicle. A staff member will be at the curb to assist with drop off and pick up.

A more detailed document explaining rules and guidelines for programs will be sent to you after signing up for a program. For questions, please contact Education Manager Nicole Conrad at 937-890-7360 extension 217 or nicole.conrad@audubon.org.
