Location Details
1000 Aullwood Road, Dayton, 45414, OH

When the sun goes down, Aullwood Audubon comes alive with creatures of the night! Join us for Midnight Munchers, a special after-dark adventure to discover the secret lives of moths and caterpillars. Armed with red flashlights and UV blacklights, we’ll search the trail and trees for hungry caterpillars nibbling on fall leaves and brilliant moths fluttering in the night. You’ll be amazed at the variety of colors, shapes, and patterns that only appear when most of us are fast asleep.
Whether you’re a curious beginner or a seasoned nature night-owl, this family-friendly program is the perfect way to experience the magic of nighttime wildlife. Who knows —you may meet some unexpected midnight munchers. Come see nature’s night shift in action — you won’t look at caterpillars and moths the same way again!
This event happens along our accessible, paved trail. The grade in some areas of the trail is greater than ADA requirements; please contact us if you have questions.
